Had a rehearsal for a play that I am in tonight, and it was that dreaded "books down" moment. The trouble is, that due to workload, I had not, up until today learned any of them. It is not the biggest part I have ever done, as it is a one act play, but I was still nervous. Interestingly, I actually managed to get through large chunks of it without a problem, and although there is work to be done still, I enjoyed it. I look forward to the next rehearsal with interest!
I managed to spend a bit of twitter time today, getting irate with idiots over the state of the education system and what, in particular Michael Gove wants to do. As I have said before, I try to keep politics on a separate thread, but I do find this man in particular particularly nauseating.
The big Summer show that I am writing is coming together really nicely and we had our first real rehearsal tonight which was fabulous. They are a very lovely and very talented group of kids, and I love my Thursday nights. I hope I can keep young in mind, stable in body and good in health to have many more years doing this. Writing for most of tomorrow, which is exciting and nerve wracking as I have a lot that needs doing between now and then...still....It could be worse.
