The week continues at a relentless pace, but my legs do not seem to have caught up. So far this week I have walked 9 miles, and though this does not sound a lot, I have a large blister, and what I think are shin splints. Bearing in mind that on a full week, I will now be walking around 30 miles, I think I will need to be very careful to ensure the correct treatment. Having said all of that, the fresh air and exercise does seem to have had a positive effect on my outlook on life, and I do feel a little more alive. Work continues on this week's shows, and although I am concerned at the poor ticket sales so far, I think we will probably do OK in the end. The groups in question are "slow burners" as far as sales are concerned, so I am keeping everything crossed!
Mrs Plug has an interview on Friday, which has really put the cat amongst the pigeons for us as a family this week. Show weeks are always stressful, but to add this complication makes it doubly so. I feel a little like I have relied on people to help out on these shows a little too much, and I am extremely grateful to them.
Interesting debated going on in the media about the Sky Sports decision to sack Andy Gray for his sexist behaviour, and it always seems to bring out the extremes of opinion. I do find it interesting that people can make their mind up about the mans innocence just from the evidence of the press and a couple of clips from youtube. I sincerely doubt that an organisation the size of Sky would make such a high profile sacking unless they has the evidence with which to back it up. Certainly from the clips I have seen, he comes across as a really unpleasant little man whose attitude towards women comes from, and should be sent back to, the 1970s.
