Well looking back at last year's resolutions, I didn't do too badly I suppose
"1. To write in this blog every day. This is not because I am conceited enough to think that anyone is particularly interested, but more an experiment to see if my writing improves over the year.
2. To read every day. I have perhaps begun to realise that life is flying by rather quickly, and that there is so much out there to learn, experience and enjoy.
3. To try not to take unimportant things seriously.
4. To move house
5. To try to stay in touch with people more, and to surround myself more with some of the lovely people I know
6. To spend more time planning and organising, it worked in 2009.
7. To try something new every month ( I have done this before, and it was fun)
8. To get some more projects underway
9. To try to improve my standards"
I did not quite manage to write every day, but I did maintain a fairly good output....So I shall repeat this resolution with a little more determination
The reading thing didn't work either, in that I simply didn't find or make the time...so I shall just endeavour to read more this year.
I think I succeeded on number 3. We had some awkward moments during the year, but I think I managed to put them behind me on the whole
We obviously moved house, so that was a success
I did stay in touch with far more people, so another success, and one to continue into 2011
I did plan and organise more, but nowhere near enough, so more of that in 2011 too
I failed miserably on the trying something new each month
I did get a number of new projects underway, and was quite successful , particularly on the writing side of things
Reading back now, I am not sure what the last one really meant....was it a vague resolution? I perhaps did improve my standards on many things, but there is still room for improvement.
So here are my resolutions for 2011
1. Pass my driving test
2. Massively expand my business, and develop some decent back end systems to make it more efficient.
3. To write more plays
4. To write more music again
5. To exercise regularly
6. To write the blog every day
7. To get my ambition of having a play performed in London underway
That'll do for now
