Friday 15th April

A pleasant day spent shopping with the smaller members of the clan, whilst Mrs Plug went through the torture of "Skills tests".  Purchases were wide and varied, and involved everything from bird feeding acoutrements to DVD's to a new shredder.  All of this was done is a gentle way, with no need to rush about.  In the afternoon, myself and Mrs Plug went to Houghton House which was stunning as you can see

Henry VIII used to stay here, and we stood by the fireplace and tried to imagine him sitting here with his feet up. It is somehow easier to like the old Royal Family when they were like Henry, because although he was undoubtedly a bit of a bastard to say the least, he didn't try to hide it.  The place itself affords some good views over Bedfordshire, and makes a very good location for a photo shoot, which has now got me thinking.
In the evening I sat down to watch "Four Lions" the Chris Morris film.  Sadly, tiredness and Red wine got the better of me, so I will try again soon.
