School holidays mean I never quite know what day it is, so this week has been pleasantly disorientating. Continuing the office re-organisation, we went to a charity shop today that specialises in furniture. Sadly we found nothing that was going to fit our rather specific bill, but we became art collectors. Mrs Plug found a signed print from an artist that had soem work sold at Christies, and we think it might be worth a few quid. Nothing earth shattering, but a nice find, and more importantly, a nice picture. I found three prints of London theatres that I rather liked. Two in one frame, and one in another. The two together were by AH Payne and are of Covent Garden Theatre and Haymarket Theatres
The singular one is by Thomas Hosmer Shepherd and shows the old Surry Theatre in Blackfriars.
They only cost a couple of quid, and are probably worth something like about £80, but I love them, and I worry that this may be the start of a collection! They will take pride of place in the new office and I will try my hardest not to spend money on more for a while!
