We celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary today. What better way to celebrate it than a visit to Mr and Mrs pops house? We set ourselves a target of being out of the house by eight, and to my shock we achieved this with time to spare. A really good run up the motorway meant our arrival at 11.30 and we were out on a walk within about an hour. We went to the river near the old gunpowder factory and to the disused canal. We arrived back had a quick cuppa, and then visited the Strickland Arms, for a couple of swift sherries (Langdale Tup) before going back home for food and a game. Went to bed exhausted, but apparently kept the family awake all night with my snoring. Good work. Off to watch some Shakespeare by the Lake tomorrow :-)
