I am slightly concerned that I used the word penis in my blog yesterday, as I am pretty sure its the first time that particular word has been used. Now I have repeated it, and I fear that this might now get the wrong types visiting the blog. We now have quite a cold snap, and coupled with the new, heavy duty bedding, the ability to get out of bed has been severely impaired. I think I might have to start sleeping on the floor in order to be able to rise at a sensible time. I seem to be floating through at the moment, just getting things done, with little or no sense of urgency. This is all well and good, but it is not giving me the sense of desperation that I need in order to finish certain jobs. I am aware that due to falling asleep of an evening and waking up too late, I have slipped behind schedule on my book reading, which after less than two weeks is pretty poor. I am determined to step up a gear and get on with it all. Today was eldest's last chance to bully and cajole her teachers for her reference on her UCAS application. She did not seem to approach this with any sense of urgency, and I found this a little frustrating. The UCAS application on;y affects one of her choices for drama schools, but to at least ensure that the application is made before you go home for the weekend seemed sensible. She just shrugged and said that she trusts her teacher to get it done and send it off. We exchanged words about it, and there was an atmosphere for a while, which was only dissipated when we received notification that the application had indeed been made, and that I should stop being so distrusting and to relax a little. Perhaps she is right. I just want her to have every chance, because she is very good, and very lovely, and I am extremely proud of her. We finished the rough blocking of "Screw Your Courage" tonight, and it all seems pretty good. I am looking forward to this one above all others to be honest.
