Well here I sit at my desk wondering where the last few weeks have gone. The Summer holidays are nearly over, and I am deep into working now, with one two day workshop over and two week long ones to go. It has been a busy and fruitful time for us, but I can't help but be slightly sad that our breaks in Wales and the Lakes are over so soon. Wales was wonderfully sunny and peaceful, and the Lakes were lovely as usual. Though I always feel slightly sad coming away from our friends, and I look forward to seeing them again soon. We have also enjoyed the olympics hugely, although I do not share the nations hysteria that this has been sue turning point for us. We did well in some sports, and this will not cure the recession, the common cold or provide any of us with proof of alien life. It was just a great spectacle, and no more. I hope that when the dust has settled, we can look at the financial cost and think that it was worth it. I remain doubtful. We start on Summer School tomorrow, and this is the 6th one I have directed. This year we have tried something new in that I have written it, I hope it goes down well with the kids, as I rather like it. I doubt I will be posting much over the next couple of weeks, but as I now have a Macbook, I might do.....who can tell
