Well both new sessions had a quiet but promising start, and more plans are in the pipeline. I have been worrying a little over the last couple of weeks about my health. I received a letter from my GP asking me to attend an NHS health check. This is itself should not be a cause for concern, but I think it is the realisation that I am "Of an age" that is considered to be at risk. In the event, I have come out of it rather well, and apart from requiring a slight reduction in Cholesterol I am fighting fit. Depressingly, that means my current state of health must now be considered good, and I am now resigned to feeling this old on a daily basis. Where else would you go to read such optimistic posts? We worked with some musical directors from the West End last night, and it was fun, enlightening and positive. I shall look forward to our next session next week.

5th November 2012
So much for the more regular writing I hear my previous month's self saying. I sit here on the eve of launching two new sessions and feeling slightly nervous about them (As is to be expected!) We hope to get enough people to make it all worthwhile, and have been out delivering leaflets which was all rather exhausting! The food festival was a great success for all that attended and whilst the peace and quiet afforded by it was much needed, I really missed them all, and it was good to see them all again. The news has been dominated by the horrible goings on of Jimmy Savile and his cronies, and it would seem that there are many more stories to come involving lots of other people. How thoroughly depressing. I also find the tone taken by the media to be disgraceful. Virtually every article describing the "Predatory pedophile" seems to describe the average person working with children, and it is almost as if we are all guilty by association. The air of suspicion and hatred is quite strong. It makes my job ever so slightly more depressing.
