Vlogging

Some smaller people I know have started to produce web based videos of singing and comedy and ranting etc.  I am drawn to this idea (Not the singing obviously).  I wonder if the massed ranks of my blogging army feel that this is a sensible move to make?

What is this I hear you ask?  Two days running!  Why Mr Plug, you are spoiling us with this continuous blogging....Ahem....Any road up, as they say in the land of the Whippet, I am clearly in winding down mode.  Last night I attended a dinner, come award ceremony in the fair town of Luton.  It was to celebrate a project that we had been involved in.  It was a pleasant evening, which was attended by the local MP (No...not THAT one) and the new Police commissioner.  The abundance of young people that were in attendance were in good spirits, and started to dance, at which point all the old fogeys got up and left.  I of course, treated the assembled masses to my rendition of Gangnam style.  This is a lie, but they DID play it, and I really don't get it.  Am I now officially just old?  I can almost hear the roar of agreement echoing from the far reaches of both the Lake District, and the sunny environs of Nottinghamshire, well let me stop you in your tracks right now!  I was told, by a lovely young lady last night that I was "Cool"....Yes...little old me!!  "Cool".  All I could do was agree with her obviously, and then offer hearty commiserations that she had clearly not met enough of the human race.   It made me happy anyway.  The whole affair was alcohol free.  This was not pleasant.  I drank a fruit cocktail champagne substitute.  It tasted of what I imagine a jungle based creatures urine might taste like.  I shall write to my MP to ask her considered opinion..

18th December

We sit here knee deep in pre Christmas apathy, I think partly because of the usual issue of not having our Christmas money yet. As is usually the case, we receive payment just before the festive season, and as a result this means that all shopping is done last minute. This, as anyone who knows me, means that my usual stat of pre planning and meticulous organisation has to go out of the window. I shall be spending much of the next few days writing lists of things to be done, and then sitting quietly weeping as I realise that it is indeed going to be left largely to me to ensure that they are done. Perhaps this is why I have chosen today of all days to return to blogging? We are only a few days away from breaking for the Christmas holidays. This is something that I am looking forward to, but also makes me realise how much needs doing before we go back in January. Lots of new sessions starting, and productions on the way. I need to get my writing trousers on (These do not exist, but know I have coined the phrase, it does make me wish I had some). We shall be at home for Christmas and Boxing Day, and then I believe we are out a travelling for a day or two. I shall then return, resplendent in the post Christmas afterglow that always makes me desperate to get back to work, and we shall conquer this thing that is known as 2013. Well that's the plan anyway. If I don't blog before, I shall wish you all a delightful period of festivities, and also remind you that my 2012 review will be on the way at some point. Now if that hasn't sent a little tingle up your cultural cortex, then I don't believe you to be alive in the slightest.
